A job changes everything...
W.R. Grace, an immigrant, shipping magnate, and twice-elected Mayor of New York City, founded Grace Institute as a tuition-free training program for women in 1897. His goals were to educate and find employment for women in need. Throughout the 20th century and into the 21st, Grace Institute has provided low-income and unemployed women with the skills training and job placement they need to become economically self-sufficient.
Since our founding, over 100,000 women have come through Grace Institute’s doors. Today, Grace institute serves as a leader in workforce development for women. We serve 300 women annually with advanced computer and professional skills to prepare our students for administrative and customer support positions in industries such as banking, not-for-profit, health care and hospitality.
Corporate partners include Morgan Stanley, Ralph Lauren, Moody’s Corporation, Blackstone, Black Rock, Citibank, Lexis Nexis, The Rockefeller Institute, and more.
Our program remains tuition free and 80% of our graduates are placed in jobs within one year.
