• Each fall, Grace Institute collaborates with the American-Italian Cancer Foundation and Multi-Diagnostic Services to provide free mammograms to women for early detection against breast cancer.
  
  Early detection of breast cancer can save lives! Please sign up for a no-cost mammogram held on Thursday, November 12, 2009. If you are age 40 and older and have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months, please call and schedule an appointment at 1-800-453-8378, ext. 1. An appointment is necessary. The mobile mammography van will be located next to Grace Institute on 65th Street at the corner of Second Avenue. The free, lifesaving event is coordinated by the American Italian Cancer Foundation and Grace Institute with medical services provided by Multi-Diagnostic Services, Inc. • Last year, more than 40 women were screened at a mobile mammography van at the school.
  
  
• Grace Institute also sponsors workshops on a variety of health-related topics for students and staff.
  
  
• Past presentations include talks on cervical health presented by the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center; "Living Well Cancer-Free" presented by the New York Junior League that included information of free screenings, and nutritional workshops also presented by the New York Junior League.
